Dear RAC member, New data released by UK’s independent advertising regulator the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) today shows that <16s saw 9.6 ads a week for products high in fat, salt and sugar (‘HFSS’) in 2017, a reduction of 22.9% compared to 2016. On average, children saw about one TV ad for ‘HFSS’ products for every four seen by adults in 2017.
